Since we are planning to rehab the bunnies back into the wild, we are starting to get them used to being outdoors. Every day we hang them on the tree in their cage, so that they have some sun, but mostly shade, so they can get used to the smells and sounds of the outdoors. We decided to start letting them explore one of our garden areas so they can get used to being outdoors. This garden currently has only one row of sunflowers, and the bunnies ran from their cage to the water under the sunflowers and got a drink and laid down right away.
